Pioneer Day

We celebrated Pioneer day today and what do you think happened... In the Arizona desert it rained. It rained a lot. We still had the parade, BBQ and fireworks. We were just a little wet. Spencer of course slept through most of the festivities.

Spencer's first time at church

Spencer just turned 4 weeks so we decided to take him to church. Aunt Jennifer made him this cute tie shirt. Daddy and Spencer both look handsome all dressed for church. Spencer didn't get to show off his cute shirt because he slept through all 3 hours.

Mark's birthday

Mark's 29th birthday was today. I made him this cake.

It was suppose to be Phoenix Suns colors, but it looks more like a little girl's cake. We invited his parents over for cake and ice cream and we played a little Wii.

One month old

Spencer had his one month check up today. He weighed 12 lbs. 1 oz and was 22 1/1 inches long. He is healthy and growing well. He's almost out of size 1 diapers and 3 months clothes.

Week by Week

4 weeks old

Spencer is 4 weeks old today. He has been such a sweet, content little boy. Over the last week and a half he has really started smiling and "talking". He has brought so much joy to our family. We are so blessed to have him.

Dancing queens

Eastern Arizona College has a college for kids each summer and this year we signed up both girls for a little dance class. It was fun that they got to do it together and it was even more fun that their cousins Kaylee and Emily got to go too. On the last day of the class they performed the little dance they learned. They both had so much fun and have been asking when they can go again.

3 weeks old

Spencer is 3 weeks old. Time is just flying bye.

Here are some more cute pictures of Spencer. Aunt Jenn sent him this cute hat. It's a little big, but it won't be long until it fits.

More pictures of Spencer

I tried once again to take some pictures of Spencer laughing/smiling. Unfortunately once again I missed the best part. I still think he looks pretty cute. On July 1st Spencer weighed 10 lbs 7 oz so he's growing well.

Independence Day celebration

On the 3rd of July we celebrated Independence Day. Our ward always does a pancake breakfast and then has a bike parade. All the kids get to decorate their bikes and then ride them around the parking lot. The night before Mark helped the girls decorate their bikes and they were so excited.

After the bike parade I took the girls to main street to watch Safford's parade. I think it took longer to walk there then it did to watch the parade.

We had a little BBQ with just our family. We ate yummy grilled chicken, local grown corn and lots of tomatoes from our garden. I also made this flag cake that I saw on line. I didn't have the right things to make it so it didn't quite turn out as I planned, but you get the idea.

To end the night we drove down to the fairgrounds to watch the fireworks from our car. We had a great view, but unfortunately it took forever to get home with all the cars.
