Mexican Baby
The first time I put this shirt on Spencer Hailey walked up to him and in a high pitched voice she said "look at my little Mexican baby!" I said, "Hailey why did you call him a Mexican baby?" She said "because of his shirt." To which I replied, "are you sure you don't mean a Hawaiian baby?" and she said "Oh yeah that's what I mean!"

Spencer's Many Names
The other morning I was talking to the family about the many different names we call Spencer. Here are most of them:
Spence
Broody
buba
Spencer Boy
Spencer Dency
Little Man
Big Boy
The Dispencer of ______ (usually we say Happiness)
Little Buddy
Smiley
There probably are a few more, but this is all I can think of at the moment. Whatever name we call him doesn't really matter, he is the sweetest, happiest, most content baby I have ever seen.

U of A football game
Mark and I got 5 free tickets from the U of A Athletic director. So on the 11th we went with some friends to U of A's opening football game against The Citadale. U of A won by 40 something. Not a close game, but exciting anyways. We left the girls with Mark's mom, but we took Spencer with us. He was so good, he even slept through part of it.

2 months old
Spencer had his 2 month check up and he weighed 14 pounds 5 ounces. He was 23 1/2 inches long. He had to get 3 shots and the rotovirus medicine. He cried for just a few seconds and then fell a sleep. He is a the happiest baby I have ever seen. He loves to get his diaper and clothes changed. It's the funniest thing. Mark says it's his favorite time of the day because he just smiles and laughs.

First day of Kindergarten
Hailey started kindergarten on August 11. She was so excited. Her teacher is young and new to Arizona, but she is enthusiastic. Hailey is the oldest in her class and is doing well. Tuesday the night before school started we got to meet Hailey's teacher Miss O'Brian. She asked if we could donate lysol wipes to the class. When we got home Hailey got our wipes put them in a baggie and wrote an H on the bag. She was so excited. I explained to her that I would buy a new container of wipes and she could bring them on Thursday. Hailey was a little nervous before we went to the school and met her teacher, but Wednesday morning she said to me, "Mom you don't have to walk me to class I can do it myself." She already doesn't need me :) We're lucky enough to live close to the school so we've been walking most mornings. It's been too hot in the afternoon (100-108), but when it cools off we'll walk to pick her up too.

Hailey's 6th birthday
Six years ago today I became a mom. I can't believe Hailey is 6. Time has gone so fast. We started the day with birthday pancakes. She wanted pancakes in the shape of her name. Hailey then opened her presents. She got a little basketball, tea set and a book.
At lunch time I took the girls and Hailey's friend to get ice cream at Candy's ice cream shop. I made Tinker Bell cupcakes. After cake and ice cream we went to Mark's parents so the girls could swim. After dinner, Mark's parents came over so Hailey could open the present from them. Then we all went bowling. The girls had a great time and did well.
