Ultra Sound

I had another growth ultra sound today. I don't know why my Doctor wanted it, he just said he routinely has them after 30 weeks. I am 31 weeks and 1-2 days (depending on who's counting) Baby Spencer on the other had was measuring 34 weeks and 2 days. He is already about 5 1/2 pounds. The ultra sound tech was a little nervous both about the size of the baby and the amount of amniotic fluid. The amniotic fluid should be a total between 5-25 cm and in one quadrant alone there is over 8 cm and there other ones were around 6 each. It's close to polyhydramnios. The ultra sound tech's doctor made a recommendation to my dr. that I get a bi-weekly non-stress test and an ultra sound in 2 weeks and again in 4 weeks. We'll see what happens. He probably will just end up being a big healthy baby.

Spencer's feet and toes.

Oh and one more note. We asked the Ultra Sound Tech if Spencer had hair and she said he has a lot of fuzz. I'm hoping he's born with as much hair as the girls.

64 days...

64 days until Spencer is due. It stills seems a ways off, yet too close at the same time. I don't feel ready and I guess that's okay since I still have 9 weeks. Mark asked me when I will feel ready and I said , "maybe by the time he's 3" I guess I'm overwhelmed with the idea of another little one to take care of. I'm sure we will adjust, it will just take some time.

I have enjoyed these las few months of pregnancy. I love just laying on the bed and feeling Spencer kick and move. The girls love to talk to him, especially Audrey. A couple of times she's yelled into my belly, "Spencer, you better stop kicking Mama, or you're going to time out!"

The time has flown by and if May and June go as quickly as April he will be here before we know it!

Busy Day

We have had a busy day so far. After babysitting this morning and running errands I decided to take Hailey to the doctor to have her arm looked at. Last night at Mark's parent's house she jumped out of the swing and fell on her arm. It hurt and was a little swollen last night, but she could move it and it wasn't bruised. It is more swollen today and still hurting, so I took her in. She just got X-rays and at 2:00 I am taking her back to see if it's broken. It's a bad time for a broken arm (not that there's ever really a good time) In 2 weeks she has a gymnastics performance and a play. We told her if she ends up needing a cast she should get a green one to match her leotard and her flower costume for the play :)
